About Teejay Sogunro
Clinical Pilates Specialist | Sports Therapist | Rehabilitation & Performance Expert
Teejay Sogunro is the founder of The Sogunro Practice, combining Applied Pilates and Osteolates Therapy to deliver a structured, movement-based approach to rehabilitation, performance, and long-term physical health.
His journey into Pilates and rehabilitation began through personal injury, where he experienced first-hand how inappropriate exercise can worsen pain rather than resolve it. As a result, he developed a deep interest in understanding how movement, biomechanics, and targeted exercise can be used effectively to restore function and reduce pain.
Today, Teejay specialises in helping clients overcome back pain, sciatica, stiffness, and movement limitations through personalised Reformer Pilates and rehabilitation-focused sessions. His approach focuses on precision, not repetition, ensuring that every exercise is appropriate, effective, and tailored to the individual.
At the core of his work is a simple principle: no two bodies are the same. Therefore, every programme is designed around the client’s specific condition, goals, and movement patterns, rather than using generic routines or fixed class structures.
Teejay’s approach combines Applied Pilates with Osteolates Therapy, a system informed by STOTT PILATES® and inspired by principles from osteopathy, physiotherapy, and sports therapy. This allows him to bridge the gap between traditional Pilates and movement-based rehabilitation.
He works with a wide range of clients, including health professionals, athletes, and individuals recovering from injury or dealing with long-term pain. His reputation is built on delivering structured, intelligent programmes that focus on long-term results rather than short-term relief.
